Disney fans are spotting ANOTHER incredible piece of Walt Disney Studios history coming to Hollywood Studios.
New aerial construction photos reveal that Disney has officially installed lettering on the replica Walt Disney Studios entrance sign currently being built inside the new Walt Disney Studios courtyard area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the transformation is starting to look VERY authentic.
The new entrance structure is inspired directly by the real-world Walt Disney Studios entrance located in Burbank, California, which serves as the historic headquarters of The Walt Disney Company.
According to aerial photos shared online by bioreconstruct, crews recently added the “The Walt Disney Studios” lettering to the new sign structure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The sign appears to closely match the iconic Burbank entrance design found on Alameda Avenue outside the actual Walt Disney Studios lot in California. And Disney seems to be going ALL IN on bringing authentic Burbank studio details to Florida lately!
The replica sign is part of the larger reimagining of Animation Courtyard into the new Walt Disney Studios area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The updated area will feature several nods to Disney animation history and the real Burbank studio campus, including:
- The new Sorcerer Mickey hat atop The Magic of Disney Animation
- Pluto’s Corner street signage
- Studio-inspired architecture
- Animation-themed experiences
- New Disney Jr. offerings
- Courtyard greenery and updated pathways
Disney previously confirmed that portions of the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard area will begin opening in phases throughout Summer 2026.
Longtime Disney fans especially seem excited about the increasing number of references to the real Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank — something rarely represented this heavily at Walt Disney World before now.
