Okay…THIS is the kind of Disney construction update fans have been waiting for.

Disney’s upcoming Tropical Americas land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom just hit a MAJOR construction milestone, with brand-new aerial photos revealing that both the Encanto Casita Madrigal and the massive Indiana Jones Mayan temple are now officially rising vertically above the construction site.
According to new aerial photos shared by Bioreconstruct and first reported by BlogMickey, vertical construction is now underway on two of the biggest centerpiece structures planned for the Tropical Americas expansion, replacing DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The newly visible structures include the magical Casita Madrigal from Encanto the Mayan temple façade for the new Indiana Jones attraction. Seeing steel and concrete finally rising above ground makes the entire project look MUCH bigger than it did just a few months ago.
The Encanto Casita Is Beginning To Take Shape
Over in the former Dino-Rama section of DinoLand U.S.A., crews have started vertical construction work tied to Disney’s first-ever Encanto ride-through attraction.
The early construction could represent either the initial foundation structure for Casita Madrigal itself or retaining walls connected to the elevated hill area where the Casita will eventually sit.

The upcoming attraction will take guests inside the magical Madrigal family home during Antonio’s special gift ceremony, where his room transforms into a rainforest filled with animals.
Disney previously confirmed the attraction will feature ride vehicles inspired by animated furniture brought to life by the Casita itself.
And yes — this will officially become the FIRST Encanto-themed ride-through attraction at any Disney park in the world.
The Indiana Jones Mayan Temple Is Also Rising
Meanwhile, over near the former DINOSAUR attraction, steel framing is now visible for the upcoming Indiana Jones temple façade that will transform the existing ride into an entirely new adventure.

The massive Mayan-inspired temple structure is beginning to rise directly in front of the former Dino Institute building as Disney continues reimagining the attraction into a completely original Indiana Jones storyline unique to Walt Disney World.
According to Disney, the updated attraction will use the existing DINOSAUR ride system while featuring a brand-new story, completely new set design, new temple theming, a mythical creature storyline, and original Indiana Jones adventure elements.
Disney has also stated that Imagineers are working closely with Maya experts to help ensure authentic cultural representation throughout the attraction and land.
The Tropical Americas expansion is currently scheduled to open in phases beginning in 2027 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
