Skipping the lines at Walt Disney World is getting more expensive, and the latest price increase might leave guests doing a double-take! Lightning Lane Premier Pass has reached a record-breaking $479 per person at Magic Kingdom, bringing Disney’s most expensive line-skipping option dangerously close to the $500 mark.

The new price applies to November 23, 2026, the Monday of Thanksgiving week, one of the busiest travel periods of the year at Walt Disney World. And Magic Kingdom isn’t the only park seeing record-high prices!

NEW Record Lightning Lane Premier Pass Prices at Disney World

According to pricing displayed in the My Disney Experience app, all four Walt Disney World theme parks have reached new Premier Pass highs for November 23.

Here’s how much guests can expect to pay per person:

Theme ParkPremier Pass Price
Magic Kingdom$479
Disney’s Hollywood Studios$369
EPCOT$269
Disney’s Animal Kingdom$219

These prices represent a $30 increase over Magic Kingdom’s previous high of $449, while the other three parks have increased by $20 over their previous records. And remember, these prices do NOT include theme park admission!

For a family of four, purchasing Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Magic Kingdom would cost a staggering $1,916 before tax, just for expedited attraction access. Add four theme park tickets, and the cost of a single day at Magic Kingdom could easily exceed $2,700 before food, merchandise, and other expenses.

What Does Lightning Lane Premier Pass Include?

Lightning Lane Premier Pass is Disney World’s most flexible paid attraction access option. Unlike Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which requires guests to reserve specific attraction return times, Premier Pass allows guests to use the Lightning Lane entrance at each participating attraction once during the day without scheduling individual return windows.

It also includes access to attractions that typically require a separate Lightning Lane Single Pass purchase, such as TRON Lightcycle / Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom. However, the pass is valid for only one park on the selected date, and quantities are limited.

Is There a Cheaper Lightning Lane Option?

Thankfully, guests don’t need to spend nearly $500 to avoid every standby line. For November 23, Lightning Lane Multi Pass prices are considerably lower:

Theme ParkMulti Pass Price
Magic Kingdom$45
Disney’s Hollywood Studios$39
EPCOT$35
Disney’s Animal Kingdom$29

Multi Pass allows guests to reserve up to three participating attractions in advance, with opportunities to make additional selections as reservations are redeemed, subject to availability. While it requires more planning and doesn’t include every attraction, it offers a substantially less expensive alternative.

And of course, guests can still experience attractions through their regular standby queues without purchasing Lightning Lane.

Could Lightning Lane Premier Pass Reach $500?

With Thanksgiving week just beginning on November 23, there’s a possibility that prices could climb even higher as additional dates become available for purchase. Disney uses date-based pricing for Lightning Lane products, meaning costs fluctuate depending on demand and the time of year.

However, Disney has not announced a $500 Premier Pass price, and there’s no guarantee that the current record will increase further. Guests planning visits during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s should check the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date pricing and availability.

My Take

I’m genuinely starting to wonder where the ceiling is for Lightning Lane pricing at Walt Disney World. I completely understand the convenience of Premier Pass, especially during Thanksgiving week when the parks are packed, but $479 per person is an enormous amount of money for something that doesn’t even include admission. For a family of four, nearly $2,000 just to skip some lines is difficult for me to justify.

What concerns me more is how these prices continue changing the overall cost of a Disney vacation. Premier Pass is absolutely optional, and there are still ways to enjoy the parks without purchasing it, but I can’t help missing the days when Disney’s FastPass system was included with admission. At this point, I think most families would be better served by a thoughtful touring plan and, if necessary, the significantly less expensive Multi Pass.
