September’s Good to Go calendar is officially off and running!
Disney World has just designated its first two September 2026 dates, and honestly, based on last year’s pace, this could be the start of a genuinely good month for spontaneous Passholders.
The two new dates are Wednesday, September 2nd and Thursday, September 3rd, and they apply across all four theme parks for every Annual Pass tier. As a quick refresher for anyone newer to this system: Good to Go Days let eligible Passholders visit a park without making a theme park reservation first — normally required on most days unless you’re entering after 2 PM (with the usual exception of Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays, where a reservation is still required regardless of arrival time). Blockout dates for your specific pass tier still apply either way, so a Good to Go designation doesn’t override those restrictions.
These two dates actually continue a run that started right at the tail end of August. August 31st was also designated Good to Go, which means Passholders now have three of these reservation-free dates clustered close together as summer winds down into fall.
Here’s the part that has me cautiously optimistic; last September, Disney added a genuinely impressive 13 Good to Go Days to the calendar…nearly half the month. September tends to bring naturally lower crowds anyway, with kids back in school and the calendar sitting deep in the middle of hurricane season, so it’s historically one of the more Passholder-friendly stretches of the year for this kind of flexibility. Whether this September matches that pace remains to be seen, but if the trend holds, more dates should be rolling out as the month continues.
Once a date gets marked Good to Go, it stays that way…Disney hasn’t typically walked these back once they’re added. And if you try to book a standard reservation for a date that’s already designated Good to Go, the system won’t even let you make one, since the reservation requirement simply doesn’t apply that day.
