Ten houses. One ranking.
I’ve walked through every single haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights 35, and now it’s time to settle the debate — here’s how I’d rank all ten, from solid to absolutely essential.
10. Cybergoria — 8.5/10
Visually, this could be one of the most interesting houses of the year. The futuristic environments, lighting, and technology-inspired horror give it a completely different aesthetic from the rest of HHN 35. I’m especially interested in seeing how the lighting and effects hide scares throughout the house.

9. MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals — 8.5/10
This one feels absolutely WILD. The gritty environments and aggressive characters should make it feel like you’ve walked somewhere you definitely shouldn’t be. Instead of relying only on huge visual moments, this feels like a house where the intensity of the scare actors could really make the experience.

8. H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular! — 9/10
This is classic HHN weirdness, and I’m here for it. It’s funny, bloody, bizarre, and packed with the kind of personality you expect from Bloodengutz. Longtime Halloween Horror Nights fans should especially appreciate this one, and I have a feeling there will be a ton of details that are easy to miss on the first walkthrough.

7. Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness — 9.5/10
This might be one of the most unique houses of HHN 35. The combination of horror imagery and Ozzy’s music gives it an energy unlike anything else in the lineup. It’s loud, dark, theatrical, and feels more like walking through a nightmare fueled by heavy metal.

6. Evil Dead Burn — 9/10
Bloody, chaotic, and completely ridiculous in the best possible way. This house feels like it never gives you much time to recover before something else is happening. Between the gore, creatures, and over-the-top Evil Dead energy, this should be an incredibly fun walkthrough.

5. INVASION: Alien Abduction — 9/10
This feels like a sleeper hit. The alien designs and sci-fi environments give Universal plenty of opportunities for some really creative scares. The feeling that something could appear from almost anywhere should make this one especially fun. I could see this climbing higher in the ranking after a few walkthroughs.

4. Stranger Things 5 — 9/10
The scale of this house really stands out. There are moments where it feels like you’ve stepped straight into Hawkins, with massive sets and recognizable locations from Stranger Things 5. The creature encounters are great, but this is also one where I’d want to slow down just to see everything around me.

3. Sinners — 9.5/10
This house has an incredible atmosphere from the second you walk inside. It’s dark, intense, and does a great job building tension before hitting you with some seriously effective scares. The environments make you feel completely pulled into the world of Sinners. This feels like one I’d immediately want to experience again.

2. Hellraiser — 10/10
This could easily be one of the most disturbing houses at HHN 35. The atmosphere is incredibly dark, the Cenobites look terrifying, and there are moments where you genuinely don’t know where the next scare is coming from. It captures that twisted and uncomfortable feeling that makes Hellraiser so memorable. Definitely one of the houses I’d be most excited to repeat.

1. Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control — 10/10
This is everything I want from an HHN house. Seeing Jack and Dr. Oddfellow together gives it that classic Halloween Horror Nights feeling, but the scale makes it feel completely fresh. There’s so much happening that one walkthrough probably won’t be enough to catch every detail. The scares come fast, the sets are incredible, and longtime HHN fans should have plenty to look for.

So there it is — my top three landing on Jack & Oddfellow, Hellraiser, and Sinners, with the anniversary house taking the crown. It’s a genuinely stacked lineup this year, and honestly, even my #10 pick is still sitting at 8.5/10, which says a lot about how strong HHN 35 is across the board.
