All aboard the Crazy Train! Halloween Horror Nights is paying tribute to a true icon this year, and it’s unlike any house the event has ever built.

Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness was the tenth and final haunted house confirmed for Halloween Horror Nights 35, and it’s a deeply personal one. Here’s everything we know about this musical tribute house, from its story to its emotional backstory.
The Ozzy Osbourne house is located in Soundstage 24A at Universal Studios Florida, one of the park’s larger soundstage facilities normally used as a filming location for movies and television. Halloween Horror Nights 35 runs select nights from August 28 through November 1, 2026.

This house was announced on July 29, 2026, making it the tenth and final haunted house confirmed for HHN 35 in Orlando. It’s also part of a bicoastal rollout, opening at Universal Studios Hollywood on September 3 and running through November 1 there as well.
A Tribute, Not Just a Theme
This house carries more emotional weight than most. Ozzy Osbourne (born John Michael Osbourne, widely credited as a pioneer of heavy metal and famously dubbed the “Prince of Darkness”) passed away on July 22, 2025, at age 76, just weeks after performing what became Black Sabbath’s final concert on July 5. Osbourne co-founded Black Sabbath in 1968 and served as its lead vocalist through the band’s first eight studio albums, including Black Sabbath and Paranoid (both 1970) and Master of Reality (1971), before departing the band in 1979.

Universal describes this house as a “living horror movie” and a non-traditional memorial to Osbourne, spanning the full 45 years of his solo career. Notably, this isn’t the first time Osbourne’s music has inspired an HHN house — Black Sabbath previously served as the basis for Black Sabbath: 13-3D at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood back in 2013.
Built With the Osbourne Family’s Involvement
Universal built this house with direct participation from Osbourne’s family. In a joint statement, his widow and longtime manager Sharon Osbourne and his son Jack Osbourne said that Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries and always loved giving fans new ways to experience his music and the worlds he created, adding that Halloween Horror Nights has captured that spirit well.

Sharon Osbourne also told Entertainment Weekly that the experience tells Ozzy’s story starting from his working-class childhood in Birmingham, England, all the way through his years fronting Black Sabbath.
The Music
The house draws its soundtrack and visual identity from across Osbourne’s solo discography, spanning all 13 of his solo albums. Specifically confirmed titles guiding the experience include The Blizzard of Ozz (1980), Diary of a Madman (1981), Bark at the Moon (1983), No More Tears (1991), Scream (2010), and Ordinary Man (2020).
Two Different Journeys: Hollywood vs. Orlando
Here’s something genuinely unique about this house — the Hollywood and Orlando versions tell different stories, even though both are built around the same tribute concept.

The Hollywood version runs chronologically, starting guests off in Birmingham, England, Osbourne’s hometown, opening with his most famous song, “Crazy Train.” From there, guests travel forward through the decades into the “Osbourne Asylum,” a section inspired by the Diary of a Madman album, moving through the evolving eras of Ozzy’s stage persona — Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy, and finally the Prince of Darkness, the nickname he earned back in the 1970s.

The Orlando version skips the origin story entirely and dives straight into the heavier end of his catalog. Guests pass through ancient ruins and dungeons before boarding the Crazy Train into a realm built from later-career album covers, specifically Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin, and Black Rain — leaning into the sound and imagery that defined the later years of his solo career.

Despite the different structures, both versions use “Crazy Train” as a consistent through line connecting the experience.
What Guests Can Expect
Universal’s own house description sets a haunting, almost elegiac tone: Ozzy’s shocking image was every bit as haunting as his heavy metal hits, and guests entering the Prince of Darkness’s kingdom will find music and mayhem colliding as everything goes off the rails. The house is also promising several Easter eggs tucked throughout, tied to specific, meaningful moments from across Osbourne’s musical career for longtime fans to spot.
