If Disney’s Hollywood Studios is on your Walt Disney World itinerary today, you’ll want to plan your day accordingly.
Today, June 18, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will close at 6 PM, three hours earlier than its typical 9 PM closing time, due to a private, after-hours event taking place later this evening.
Hollywood Studios Closes at 6 P.M. Today
The park will still operate with its normal morning schedule, opening at 8 AM for Disney Resort hotel guests eligible for Early Entry and 9 AM for all other guests.
However, regular day guests will need to wrap up their visit by 6 PM when the park officially closes.
Why Is the Park Closing Early?
The early closure is to accommodate a private event hosted by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which is holding its annual conference in Orlando this week.
Following the daytime closure, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will reopen exclusively for conference attendees from 8 PM until 11 PM as part of the organization’s private event.

If you were hoping to spend the evening at Hollywood Studios, you may want to consider visiting another Walt Disney World theme park after 6 PM, as Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are all operating on their regular schedules today.
Guests visiting Hollywood Studios this morning may also find that the earlier closing results in a busier afternoon, so arriving early is your best bet if you’re hoping to experience the park’s most popular attractions before closing time.
