For the first time, Disney fans can see actual roller coaster track on-site for one of Walt Disney World’s most anticipated attractions.

Construction on Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has reached another major milestone.
The first sections of roller coaster track for the upcoming Monsters, Inc. Door Vault coaster have officially arrived backstage at Walt Disney World, marking a significant step forward for Disney’s first-ever suspended roller coaster. The arrival of the track comes just weeks after coaster supports began rising across the construction site.
The Door Coaster Is Starting to Get Real
For months, Monstropolis construction has largely consisted of demolition, site preparation, concrete work, and the installation of coaster foundations and supports.

Now, newly spotted track sections by Kurt H on Bluesky indicate that Disney is preparing to enter the next phase of coaster construction.

Multiple pieces of coaster track have arrived backstage near the future attraction site. While the track has not yet been installed, its arrival represents one of the clearest signs yet that the project is rapidly moving forward.
Disney’s First-Ever Suspended Coaster
The Monsters, Inc. Door Vault coaster will be unlike anything currently operating at Walt Disney World.
Disney has confirmed the attraction will be the company’s first suspended roller coaster, with riders traveling beneath the track as they race through the iconic door vault made famous in Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.Disney has also announced that the attraction will feature the first vertical lift ever built at a Disney theme park, recreating the moment guests are launched into the massive door storage system seen in the film.

The coaster will serve as the centerpiece of Monstropolis, the new Monsters, Inc.-themed land currently under construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Construction Has Accelerated in Recent Weeks
The arrival of the coaster track follows several other major construction milestones.

Recent aerial photography has revealed support columns rising across the future attraction site, along with new steel structures near what appears to be the load station area. Additional work has also begun throughout Monstropolis, including progress on Harryhausen’s restaurant and other themed facades within the land.

Just last week, Walt Disney Imagineering shared new details about Monstropolis, confirming that guests will enter the monster city during “H.U.M.A.N. Day,” a celebration marking the era when monsters began collecting laughter instead of screams.
One Step Closer to Riding Through the Door Vault
While Disney has not announced an opening date for Monstropolis or the Door Vault coaster, the arrival of the first track pieces is one of the biggest signs yet that the attraction is beginning to move from concept art to reality.
For Disney fans who have spent years dreaming about riding through the famous door warehouse from Monsters, Inc., seeing actual coaster track on-site makes the project feel more real than ever.

And if construction continues at this pace, we may be seeing a lot more track arriving in the months ahead.
Every major coaster project reaches a point where it suddenly starts to feel real. For the Monsters, Inc. Door Vault coaster, that moment may have just arrived.
