The circus is officially in town!

Universal Orlando just gave us our first look at Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow’s new costumes for Halloween Horror Nights 35, and these two are looking more unsettling than ever.
Jack’s new look leans hard into tattered carnival chic: a torn, jagged-edged ruffled collar in mismatched patterns and colors, paired with a stained cream shirt and a wild mane of orange curls that somehow makes him look even more feral than usual. His signature green-streaked grin and smudged white makeup are still very much intact, but the whole silhouette feels rougher and more decayed this time around — like the carnival’s been through a few more decades of ruin since we last saw him.
Dr. Oddfellow’s redesign, meanwhile, is giving full ringmaster energy, and I mean that in the most menacing way possible. He’s decked out in a deep navy coat with ornate gold embroidery, an elaborate vest covered in astrological-looking imagery, a tall straw top hat, and face paint that reads somewhere between carnival barker and something far more sinister. The glowing green-tipped cane is a genuinely nice touch — it’s giving “I know something you don’t” in the best possible way.
This marks the icons’ updated appearance for this year’s Infernal Carnival of Nightmares theme, HHN 35’s overarching storyline for the event’s 35th anniversary. Given how much detail went into both looks, it’s clear Universal’s treating this milestone year as a chance to give both characters a genuine glow-up…or rather, a decay-up, considering the theming.
Halloween Horror Nights 35 runs select nights at Universal Orlando Resort this fall, and based on these first costume reveals alone, Jack and Dr. Oddfellow are shaping up to be just as unsettling a ringmaster duo as ever.
Which new look do you prefer — Jack’s tattered carnival chaos, or Dr. Oddfellow’s ornate ringmaster menace? Let me know!
