Think you’re afraid of clowns now? Universal Orlando is about to make that fear a whole lot worse.
Universal Orlando Resort has officially announced Downtown Clowntown, the latest scare zone coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2026, and it sounds like one of the event’s most chaotic street experiences yet.
According to Universal, “The city that never sleeps becomes a waking nightmare when it’s overrun by Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Art the Clown and other clownsfolk who can’t wait to tear you limb from limb.”
That means guests can expect a terrifying mash-up of fan-favorite horror icons, including the return of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space alongside the relentlessly brutal Art the Clown, all roaming a city that’s been transformed into a clown-infested nightmare.
While Universal hasn’t revealed additional story details just yet, the announcement artwork hints at a blood-soaked city overtaken by sinister circus chaos, making this one of the most anticipated scare zones announced for this year’s event.
Halloween Horror Nights 2026 takes place on select nights from August 28 through November 1 at Universal Studios Florida.
With Downtown Clowntown now joining this year’s lineup, the streets of HHN are shaping up to be just as terrifying as the haunted houses.
