Epic Universe nights are about to get a whole lot brighter.

Universal Orlando has officially announced Universal Celestial Goodnight, a brand-new nighttime spectacular coming to Universal Epic Universe beginning Tuesday, July 7th. The new show will bring together fireworks, dancing fountains, lighting effects, and unforgettable music for a dazzling finale designed to send guests off after a full day of portal-hopping through Universal’s newest theme park.
Universal Celestial Goodnight will take place in Celestial Park, the central hub of Universal Epic Universe. Rather than being limited to one small stage or viewing area, the nighttime show is designed to fill the entire hub with energy, light, music, fountains, and fireworks.
Universal describes the new experience as a glittering nighttime display featuring dancing fountains, lighting effects, and a fireworks finale that lights up the sky over Epic Universe. Basically, if you thought Celestial Park was pretty during the day, Universal said, “Hold my wand, dragon egg, and Power-Up Band.”
This new Epic Universe fireworks show is being created as a nightly send-off for guests after a full day inside the park. The show will unfold across Celestial Park, including the open central space between Luna and Apollo, giving guests a large-scale finale before heading out for the night.

The show is expected to cap off the park day, so if you’re visiting Universal Epic Universe this summer, you’ll want to plan your evening around the park’s closing time and leave room in your schedule to end the night in Celestial Park.
Which Epic Universe Worlds Are Featured?
Universal Celestial Goodnight will celebrate the worlds, characters, and adventures found throughout Universal Epic Universe. The nighttime spectacular will pay tribute to the park’s major portals, including SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, and Dark Universe.

That means this show is not just a fireworks display. It is being positioned as a full Epic Universe celebration, tying together the stories and lands guests experience throughout the day.
The Scale of Universal Celestial Goodnight Is Massive
Universal is going big for this one. According to the announcement, Universal Celestial Goodnight will use nearly 600 synchronized light fixtures, more than 350 fountains, and 7 million LED lights embedded throughout Celestial Park.

Those effects will be paired with a high-energy musical score and capped with fireworks, making this the first major nighttime spectacular for Universal Epic Universe.

For a park built around portals, cosmic theming, and a central hub called Celestial Park, a fireworks-and-fountain finale honestly feels like the most natural next step.
When Does Universal Celestial Goodnight Begin?
Universal Celestial Goodnight officially debuts at Universal Epic Universe on Tuesday, July 7th, and is expected to run nightly.
If you are planning a Universal Orlando Resort vacation, especially a summer trip to Epic Universe, this is definitely something to keep on your radar. Nighttime entertainment can change how guests plan their park day, especially when it comes to dinner reservations, portal timing, transportation, and where to be before closing.

So yes, you may want to rethink that “we’ll just leave early” plan. Epic Universe is giving you a reason to stay until the very end.
Universal Epic Universe already has a lot happening across its immersive worlds, but Universal Celestial Goodnight adds something major to the park’s entertainment lineup: a full nighttime finale.

With fireworks, fountains, music, nearly 600 synchronized lights, more than 350 fountains, and millions of LEDs throughout Celestial Park, this new Epic Universe nighttime spectacular sounds like it could become a must-see part of any Universal Orlando vacation.
