The strongest evidence yet for a nighttime fireworks show at Epic Universe has arrived…and this time, guests can actually hear it!

For months, rumors have swirled that Universal Orlando Resort has been quietly preparing a major nighttime spectacular for Epic Universe. Fans have spotted new infrastructure, aerial photography has revealed mysterious additions around the park, and Universal has even posted job openings connected to fireworks operations.
But now, a new development may be the clearest sign yet that something big is coming to Celestial Park.
According to a post by Universally Speaking on X, recent audio testing conducted throughout Epic Universe appears to reference a show called “Universal Celestial Goodnight,” a name that Universal previously trademarked and one that has long been rumored to be connected to a future nighttime spectacular. The discovery is fueling speculation that Epic Universe could soon debut the nighttime fireworks show many guests have been waiting for.
The latest clue comes from audio testing taking place throughout Epic Universe after park operating hours.
The testing included audio announcements that referenced “Universal Celestial Goodnight,” the same name Universal filed a trademark for in late 2025. The trademark covers entertainment-related uses and has long been suspected to be tied to a nighttime offering at Epic Universe.

While Universal has not officially announced a new fireworks show or nighttime spectacular, the appearance of the name during operational testing suggests that the project may be moving closer to reality.
For Epic Universe fans, this is significant because it represents one of the first pieces of evidence directly connecting the trademarked name to an actual in-park experience.
Months of Evidence Have Been Building
The audio testing doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

Over the past several months, an increasingly long list of documented developments has all pointed toward a large-scale nighttime show being prepared for Celestial Park.
Permanent Fireworks Launch Site Installed
Back in March, BlogMickey reported that Universal had completed construction on a dedicated fireworks launch site near the lagoon behind the Universal Helios Grand Hotel.

The installation reportedly includes a permanent launch area, control infrastructure, electrical systems, and operational support equipment.
Unlike temporary fireworks setups used for special events, the infrastructure appears designed for regular use, suggesting a recurring entertainment offering rather than occasional holiday fireworks.
Universal Began Hiring Fireworks Personnel
Also in March, Universal posted job listings specifically tied to Epic Universe fireworks operations.
The openings reportedly included:
- Fireworks Lead Technician
- Fireworks Technician II
A separate job posting later sought a fireworks show operator, further suggesting that Universal was actively staffing a future entertainment operation rather than simply testing equipment.
Celestial Park’s Cosmos Fountain Was Modified
Additional evidence emerged when the massive Cosmos Fountain in Celestial Park was temporarily drained.

Permits connected to the work referenced lighting installations, DMX control systems, power conduits, and data infrastructure.
Those types of upgrades are commonly associated with large-scale nighttime productions that combine fountains, lighting effects, music, projections, and fireworks.
Spotlights Continue Appearing Around the Park
Perhaps the most visible clues have come from aerial photographs captured by Bioreconstruct and analyzed by BlogMickey.
Earlier this spring, large spotlight arrays began appearing around Celestial Park. More recently, additional spotlight packages were installed on rooftops throughout the park, including eight spotlights installed atop The Oak & Star Tavern building, and twelve spotlights installed atop the First Aid building near the portal entrance to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic.

The spotlight installations flank the Universal Helios Grand Hotel from opposite sides of Celestial Park and appear positioned to illuminate the sky above the lagoon area where guests would naturally gather for a nighttime spectacular.
Fireworks Testing Has Already Happened
Long before Epic Universe opened, fireworks could already be seen launching from areas near the park.

In February 2025, local residents captured videos showing fireworks testing taking place behind the Helios Grand Hotel. At the time, Universal had not announced any nighttime fireworks production, but the testing added to growing speculation that the park was being designed with a future spectacular in mind.
Since then, the evidence has continued to pile up.
Why a Nighttime Spectacular Makes Sense for Epic Universe
One of the biggest criticisms from some guests since Epic Universe opened has been the lack of a major nighttime finale comparable to Universal Orlando’s previous lagoon shows or Disney’s fireworks spectaculars.
Celestial Park already feels purpose-built for a large-scale nighttime production.
The central hub includes seven acres of water features, massive fountain systems, extensive lighting infrastructure, open viewing areas, and a large lagoon positioned directly in front of Helios Grand Hotel.

Universal has previously stated that Celestial Park would feature fountain entertainment, but many fans have suspected the infrastructure was designed for something much larger.
A show combining fountains, lighting, music, spotlights, and fireworks would give Epic Universe the type of nighttime “kiss goodnight” that has become a staple of modern theme park operations.
Universal Still Hasn’t Made It Official
It’s important to note that Universal Orlando Resort has not officially announced a nighttime fireworks show for Epic Universe.
As of now:
- No debut date has been announced
- No official show description exists
- No entertainment schedule has been released
- Universal has not confirmed that “Universal Celestial Goodnight” is the final show name
However, between the trademark filing, fireworks infrastructure, technical job postings, fountain upgrades, spotlight installations, previous fireworks testing, and now audio announcements referencing the name itself, the evidence is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
If the rumors prove true, Epic Universe may soon gain the one major entertainment offering many guests have felt was missing since opening day.
And if “Universal Celestial Goodnight” is indeed on the horizon, guests could soon have a spectacular new reason to stay in Celestial Park after dark.
