The Straw Hat Pirates are sailing back into Universal Studios Japan this summer, and one of the park’s most popular seasonal events is returning bigger than ever.
Universal Studios Japan has officially announced the return of ONE PIECE Premier Summer 2026, bringing guests face-to-face with Luffy, Sanji, Hancock, and the rest of the One Piece universe during a limited-time celebration running from July 30 through November 19, 2026. The event is part of Universal Studios Japan’s 25th Anniversary celebration and will once again feature exclusive entertainment, dining, and attraction experiences inspired by the globally popular anime series.
This year’s ONE PIECE Premier Summer will feature three signature experiences that have become fan favorites at Universal Studios Japan.
ONE PIECE Premier Show 2026
The centerpiece of the event is the return of the ONE PIECE Premier Show 2026, a large-scale live entertainment spectacular featuring the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies in an action-packed adventure filled with stunts, special effects, and battles. Universal says the show will focus on the bonds, courage, and determination of Luffy and his crew as they fight for their friends and freedom.
For 2026, the story will feature the unexpected reunion of the Straw Hat Pirates and the Kuja Pirates led by Boa Hancock, setting the stage for a brand-new adventure exclusive to Universal Studios Japan.
Sanji’s Pirate Restaurant
Fan-favorite dining experience Sanji’s Pirate Restaurant is also returning for the summer event. Guests can enjoy a themed dining experience hosted by Sanji himself, complete with character interactions, exclusive menu offerings, and entertainment inspired by the world of One Piece. The restaurant has become one of the most sought-after reservations during Premier Summer each year.
ONE PIECE x Story Ride
Rounding out the event is ONE PIECE x Story Ride, which places guests directly into an adventure alongside Luffy and his friends. The attraction transforms one of Universal Studios Japan’s existing rides with an original One Piece storyline, special audio, and immersive effects designed to make guests feel like part of the crew.
