The iconic Hogwarts Castle is looking more magical than ever.

Guests visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure may notice that the extensive repainting project on Hogwarts Castle is nearing completion, with much of the attraction’s exterior now appearing refreshed and restored.
Over the past several months, Universal Orlando Resort has been working on a large-scale refurbishment of Hogwarts Castle, one of the most recognizable landmarks in all of theme parks. Construction walls, scrims, and work crews have been visible throughout portions of the project as teams carefully refreshed the castle’s exterior.
Now, much of that work appears to be wrapping up, with only limited sections still showing signs of ongoing refurbishment.

Guests can already spot cleaner stonework, refreshed paint, and a more vibrant appearance across many of the castle’s towers, spires, and architectural details. The improvements help restore the attraction’s imposing presence overlooking Hogsmeade Village.
Maintaining the Magic
Routine refurbishment projects like this are essential for keeping Universal Orlando’s attractions looking their best, especially in Florida’s harsh sun, heat, humidity, and frequent storms.
Hogwarts Castle serves as both the visual centerpiece of Hogsmeade and the home of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, making its upkeep a top priority for Universal Creative and maintenance teams.

As the project nears completion, guests can once again enjoy nearly unobstructed views of the castle while exploring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
A Welcome Sight for Harry Potter Fans
With the majority of the repainting work now complete, Hogwarts Castle is looking ready to welcome witches, wizards, and Muggles alike for another busy summer at Universal Orlando Resort.

Whether you’re grabbing a Butterbeer in Hogsmeade, riding Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, or simply taking in one of the most iconic theme park views in the world, the refreshed castle is once again stealing the show.
