Looking for even more family-friendly fun during your day at Universal Orlando?

A brand-new Summer Camp Game Zone has opened inside the Toon Lagoon Theater at Universal Islands of Adventure, giving younger guests and families a new place to play, dance, and meet some of their favorite characters throughout the summer season.
The limited-time offering transforms the theater space into an interactive camp-inspired experience filled with games, music, activities, and character encounters.
Games, Music, and Interactive Fun
The Summer Camp Game Zone is designed as a high-energy indoor activity area where kids can take a break from attractions while still staying immersed in the fun.

Guests visiting the space will find interactive games, music and dance activities, camp-inspired entertainment, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.

The experience offers a shaded indoor environment, making it a welcome stop for families looking to cool off while keeping younger guests entertained.
Character Meet & Greets Included
One of the biggest draws of the new experience is the opportunity to meet Universal characters throughout the day.

Character meet-and-greets are scheduled to take place inside the Summer Camp Game Zone, allowing guests to interact with some familiar faces in a more relaxed environment than traditional outdoor character locations. I got to meet Woody Woodpecker who’s kind of an icon around Universal Studios Florida.
Universal has not published a permanent character schedule, meaning appearances may vary throughout the season.
Another Addition to Universal’s Summer Lineup
The Summer Camp Game Zone joins a growing list of seasonal offerings available across Universal Orlando Resort this summer.

The resort has introduced several limited-time experiences designed specifically for families and younger visitors, making this one more option for guests looking for activities beyond rides and attractions.

Located inside the often-underutilized Toon Lagoon Theater, the new experience also gives fresh life to a venue that many guests simply pass by during a typical day at Islands of Adventure.
Perfect for Families
With games, music, dancing, character interactions, and indoor space to escape the Florida heat, the Summer Camp Game Zone appears to be aimed squarely at families with younger children.

Whether you’re taking a break between adventures on Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls and Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges or simply looking for something new to experience, the Summer Camp Game Zone offers another reason to spend some extra time in Toon Lagoon this summer.
We’ll continue following all the latest Universal Orlando summer offerings, Islands of Adventure updates, character meet-and-greets, and theme park developments, so be sure to check back soon for more Universal Parks news.
