The Minions are multiplying at Universal Orlando!
As excitement builds for Illumination’s upcoming Minions & Monsters film, Universal Studios Florida has debuted two brand-new Minion characters for guests to meet during this year’s Mega Movie Summer celebration.
Guests can now meet Henry and James, two new Minions who have taken up residence near the Illumination Theater as part of the promotional push for the upcoming movie.
Meet Henry and James
The new character meet-and-greet gives guests the opportunity to interact with Henry and James, who are making special appearances outside the Illumination Theater.
The pair sport unique looks that help distinguish them from the countless other Minions fans have come to know over the years and serve as some of the newest faces helping promote Minions & Monsters ahead of its theatrical release.
For Minion fans, it’s a rare opportunity to meet characters who haven’t previously appeared in Universal’s parks.
New Photo Opportunity in Music Plaza
The fun doesn’t stop with the meet-and-greet.
Universal has also installed a themed Minions & Monsters photo opportunity in Music Plaza. The colorful display allows guests to snap photos with themed props and backdrops inspired by the upcoming film.
The photo op serves as another way Universal is bringing the movie into the park experience before it hits theaters.
Part of Mega Movie Summer
The additions are part of Universal Orlando’s Mega Movie Summer celebration, which features limited-time experiences inspired by some of the studio’s biggest upcoming films and franchises.
Along with Minions & Monsters offerings, guests can also find experiences themed to JAWS, Jurassic World, and Steven Spielberg throughout the summer event.

Minions & Monsters is one of Illumination’s most anticipated upcoming releases and follows the Minions as they find themselves tangled up in a monster-filled adventure.
With Henry, James, and the new Music Plaza photo opportunity now available, Universal is giving fans an early taste of the chaos before the film arrives in theaters.
