The Muppets takeover at Disney’s Hollywood Studios just became a LOT more official.

Walt Disney World has updated the digital map for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and fans are already spotting some major changes tied to the park’s ongoing transformation. The updated map now includes Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets as well as the newly renamed Walt Disney Studios Courtyard area.

This marks one of the biggest visible signs yet that the Muppets-era transformation of Sunset Boulevard is officially here.

Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Is NOW on the Map

The attraction officially opens on May 26, 2026, replacing the former Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith with a brand-new storyline centered around Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

Disney’s updated digital map now reflects the attraction’s full new name instead of the previous placeholder wording that had appeared during construction.

The coaster’s exterior has also been updated with colorful Muppets-inspired theming, including a psychedelic guitar outside the attraction that Imagineering previously teased would receive a brand-new look.

Animation Courtyard Has a NEW Name

Another major update is the renaming of Animation Courtyard to Walt Disney Studios Courtyard on the digital map.

This change comes as Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues evolving away from several older park areas and attractions. While Disney has not made a massive announcement about the name update, the digital map adjustment strongly signals the company is moving forward with a refreshed identity for the space.

Hollywood Studios Is Changing FAST

Between the arrival of the Muppets coaster, ongoing construction projects, and other park changes happening across Walt Disney World, Hollywood Studios is in the middle of one of its biggest transitions in years.
