The Ocho is officially BACK.
ESPN has announced that ESPN The Ocho will return to Walt Disney World this summer as part of the network’s 10-year anniversary celebration of the fan-favorite programming event.
According to the announcement, ESPN The Ocho returns August 6–9 with coverage and competitions taking place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.
The annual event celebrates quirky, unusual, and often hilarious sports inspired by the fictional “ESPN8: The Ocho” television channel introduced in the film Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.
This year’s announcement artwork teases the return of several unique competitions, including dodgeball-style events, extreme skill sports, and other unconventional athletic contests that have become synonymous with The Ocho over the past decade.
ESPN also confirmed that portions of the event will stream and broadcast live from Walt Disney World throughout the multi-day celebration.
The Ocho has become a cult favorite among sports fans thanks to its mix of humor, bizarre competitions, and genuinely impressive athletic talent — all delivered with full ESPN-style presentation and commentary.
Additional event details, schedules, and participating sports are expected to be announced closer to the August event dates.
