Reservations for the reimagined Diamond Horseshoe went live tonight at 8 PM, with October 4, opening day, sold out before most guests even got through the door.

If you were planning to snag a table for day one, here’s exactly what happened once the clock hit 8!
Disney routed guests through a virtual queue rather than sending everyone straight to the booking page, warning that “reservations for The Diamond Horseshoe — Limited Time Offering may be limited or could be unavailable when it’s your turn to enter the site.” That warning turned out to be accurate. Some guests did secure reservations once their turn in the queue arrived, but opening day was gone in a matter of minutes.

This pace actually tracks with what happened the last time Disney tried this evening-launch approach. When Beak & Barrel’s reservations opened the same way last year, opening day sold out in about 8 to 10 minutes, and opening weekend followed within another 5 to 8 minutes after that. Every date for every party size was completely booked in under two hours. Diamond Horseshoe is a different venue with a different menu, but the early demand tonight looks like it’s following a nearly identical curve.
If tonight’s rush means your preferred date is already gone, there’s still a real path in. Walk-ups will be accepted once the pop-up actually opens October 4, so showing up without a reservation isn’t a dead end, it’s just less certain than having a table locked in ahead of time. It’s also worth checking back periodically for cancellations, since Disney dining reservations do open back up as other guests change or drop their plans.

We covered the full priced menu earlier tonight if you want to know exactly what you’d be ordering once you do get in, and it’s clear from how fast this sold out that plenty of guests are already planning around it.
We’ll keep tracking Diamond Horseshoe availability as more dates potentially open up, so check back with Theme Park Scope for updates, and follow us on social so you don’t miss it.
Did YOU manage to snag a Diamond Horseshoe reservation tonight, or are you planning to try your luck as a walk-up instead?
