Epic Universe fans may want to keep their eyes on the sky tonight.

According to multiple reports and eyewitness accounts, drones were reportedly testing overnight around Epic Universe ahead of the park’s first-anniversary celebration, sparking rumors that Universal Orlando could debut a special drone show later this evening to commemorate the major milestone.
So far, Universal has not officially announced any nighttime spectacular or anniversary drone performance. However, the overnight testing has MANY fans convinced something special may be planned for tonight’s “One Epic Year” celebration.

The rumored show would coincide with Epic Universe officially celebrating its first anniversary on May 22, following several days of new anniversary merchandise, themed signage, and “One Epic Year” displays appearing throughout the park.
However, weather could become a major factor tonight.
Forecasts for the Orlando area are currently showing the possibility of rain and storms later this evening, which could impact whether drones are ultimately able to fly safely if a performance is indeed planned.

For now, guests visiting the park tonight may want to stick around after dark just in case something “epic” appears above Celestial Park.
We’ll continue watching for any official announcements, nighttime entertainment updates, or confirmation from Universal Orlando, so be sure to check back soon for more Epic Universe news and anniversary coverage.
