Universal’s Epic Universe isn’t just drawing crowds — it’s already reshaping the theme park industry!

Epic Universe

A new financial report is showing just how big of an impact Epic Universe is already having—and the numbers are hard to ignore.

According to recent reports, Comcast’s theme parks division saw a 24% increase in revenue during the first quarter of 2026, driven largely by the continued success of Universal’s Epic Universe, which officially opened in May 2025.

Since opening, Epic Universe has continued to attract strong crowds, fueling both higher attendance and increased guest spending across the entire Universal Orlando Resort.

Comcast noted in its earnings report that consumer demand remains high, with guests not only visiting in large numbers but also spending more during their visits — an important factor in overall revenue growth.

The impact is already showing up in a big way financially.

During the first quarter of 2026, Comcast reported that its theme parks segment generated approximately $2.44 billion in revenue between January and March, reflecting that 24% jump year-over-year.

That kind of growth highlights just how significant Epic Universe has become in a very short amount of time.

Epic Universe was always expected to be a game-changer, but these early results suggest it may be exceeding expectations.

With strong attendance, increased per-guest spending, and continued demand, the park is quickly establishing itself as a major driver of growth, not just for Universal Orlando but for Comcast as a whole.

And with the park still relatively new, there’s likely even more room for growth as operations continue to ramp up and more guests plan trips specifically around this new destination.
