The houses might get all the attention, but let’s be serious — we’re also here for the food.
Halloween Horror Nights 35 is getting closer at Universal Orlando, and Universal has just dropped our first look at some of the new food and drinks coming to HHN 2026.
And this year’s menu is already getting VERY creative.
The newly revealed lineup pulls inspiration from several of the biggest properties featured at Halloween Horror Nights 35, with dishes and drinks themed to Stranger Things 5, Hellraiser, Sinners, Evil Dead Burn, and Ozzy Osbourne.
We’re talking a can of jerky straight out of Hawkins, a brain-inspired dessert, catfish and grits, a black cake topped with a bat, and (because apparently regular pizza wasn’t chaotic enough) a pizza covered in rigatoni.
Here’s everything Universal has shown us so far.
Stranger Things 5: Hopper’s Recharger and El’s Battery Jerky
Hawkins is bringing a couple of snacks along for the Upside Down this year.
Universal revealed Hopper’s Recharger, served in a black can featuring the words “beef jerky” alongside the description “chopped and formed smoke flavoring added.”
Also revealed is El’s Battery Jerky, a bright yellow beverage garnished with lime.
Both appear to be inspired by Stranger Things 5, which is one of the major haunted houses coming to Halloween Horror Nights 35.
Hellraiser: Pleasure & Pain Brain and Cenobite’s Kiss
Next up, we’re apparently finding out whether Pinhead’s definition of pleasure includes dessert.
The Pleasure & Pain Brain is a seriously creepy-looking dish featuring a brain-shaped centerpiece surrounded by a deep red sauce, smaller white pieces, and crumbs. Universal is pairing that with Cenobite’s Kiss, a bright red drink served over ice.
The two offerings tie into The Hellraiser Experiment, bringing the very appropriate themes of pleasure and pain from the franchise onto the HHN menu.
Sinners: Annie’s Juke Joint Catfish & Grits and Slide Guitar Smash
One of this year’s most anticipated houses is getting some equally interesting food.
Universal revealed Annie’s Juke Joint Catfish & Grits, featuring what appears in the promotional photo to be a large piece of fried catfish served over grits and topped with sliced garnish.
To drink, there’s the Slide Guitar Smash, a pale golden beverage served over ice and garnished with fresh mint.
Both offerings draw inspiration from Sinners, giving the movie’s juke-joint setting a place on this year’s HHN food lineup.
Ozzy Osbourne: The Prince of Darkness Cake and Black Rain
This might be one of my favorite presentations Universal has revealed so far.
The Prince of Darkness Cake is an appropriately all-black, two-tiered dessert topped with dark red frosting and a large black bat. Yes. A bat.
Universal knew exactly what it was doing here. It’s joined by Black Rain, a nearly black beverage topped with a thick layer of light-colored foam and dark garnish.
Both reference Ozzy Osbourne, whose music and imagery are being celebrated at HHN 35 in the Ozzy Osbourne: Welcome to the Other Side haunted house.
Evil Dead Burn: Lasagna Burn and Frostbite
Evil Dead Burn is also getting in on the food lineup.
Universal has revealed Lasagna Burn, a dumpling-style savory dish topped with sauce and sliced green onions. Its accompanying beverage is Frostbite, which is almost impossible to miss thanks to its electric-blue appearance and gummy teeth floating on top.
Considering Evil Dead Burn is taking guests into a snow-covered cabin where things go predictably (and horribly) wrong, that bright blue Frostbite feels pretty appropriate.
And There’s MORE Food Coming to HHN 35
Universal also shared previews of several other dishes without pairing them alongside beverages in these particular graphics.
There’s the Torn to Shreds Pork Sandwich, piled high with shredded pork, sauce, greens, pickles, and crunchy toppings on a dark bun.
Birria Pizza Fries are also joining the lineup, combining what appear to be fries with birria meat, cheese, onions, herbs, and additional toppings.
Then things get considerably creepier with Meat Grinder Red Velvet.
The dessert is presented beneath an actual meat-grinder-style prop, with red cake pieces resembling ground meat spilling from the grinder and onto the plate below.
And finally, we have what might be the most gloriously unhinged item Universal has shown us:
Rigatoni Ritual Pie. Yes, it’s pizza. Yes, there is rigatoni on top.
The promotional image shows a pizza loaded with rigatoni pasta, sauce, cheese, sausage, and green garnish.
No further questions. I need to know what this tastes like immediately.
One important thing to remember is that this is a preview of the Halloween Horror Nights 35 food and beverage lineup — not necessarily the complete menu!
Universal typically offers an extensive selection of specialty dishes, desserts, snacks, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and returning HHN favorites throughout Universal Studios Florida during the event.
So there may still be plenty more lurking in the fog. But based on this first batch alone, Universal’s culinary team clearly understood the assignment this year.
