One of Walt Disney World’s most popular resort destinations is getting a major refresh, and Disney just revealed what’s coming next.

Disney’s BoardWalk has been undergoing a quiet transformation over the past few years, and now Disney has officially announced even more exciting additions. Guests can look forward to a brand-new waterfront lounge, a reimagined retail shop, and expanded entertainment offerings that will make the BoardWalk an even bigger destination for dining, shopping, and nightlife.
If you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation, here’s everything you need to know about the latest changes coming to Disney’s BoardWalk.
Perhaps the biggest announcement is the addition of an all-new waterfront lounge coming to Disney’s BoardWalk, Hurly-Burly.

The new venue will take over the space previously occupied by Jellyrolls, the beloved dueling piano bar that entertained guests for nearly three decades before closing earlier this year.
Disney says the new lounge will be inspired by the elegance and charm of Atlantic coastal boardwalks at the turn of the century. Guests can expect a sophisticated atmosphere complete with beautiful waterfront views, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day in the parks.
While Disney hasn’t shared the lounge’s official name, opening date, or menu, the concept art showcases a stylish interior featuring rich wood finishes, warm lighting, comfortable seating, and large windows overlooking Crescent Lake.
The new location appears designed to become one of Disney World’s premier evening destinations, offering a relaxed setting that complements the BoardWalk’s unique atmosphere.
A New Shopping Experience Is Also on the Way
Shopping is also getting an upgrade.
Disney announced plans for a new retail shop for BASIN at Disney’s BoardWalk that will feature a fresh concept inspired by the nostalgic charm of seaside boardwalks.

Although Disney has not revealed the store’s name or opening timeline, guests can expect an updated shopping experience with Disney merchandise, gifts, apparel, collectibles, vacation essentials, and BoardWalk-inspired souvenirs.
The addition continues Disney’s investment in expanding the BoardWalk beyond dining by creating even more reasons for guests to spend time exploring the resort district.
More Live Entertainment Is Coming
The announcements don’t stop there.
Disney also revealed that guests will soon enjoy even more live entertainment throughout Disney’s BoardWalk.

New offerings include interactive magicians, additional jugglers and variety performers, roaming entertainers throughout the promenade, and expanded midway-style games for families and kids.
These experiences build upon the BoardWalk’s long-standing tradition of streetmosphere performers and evening entertainment, creating an even livelier atmosphere after the theme parks close.
Disney Continues Transforming the BoardWalk
These new additions are the latest chapter in Disney’s ongoing evolution of the BoardWalk entertainment district.
In recent years, guests have seen several major changes, including:
- The opening of The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers
- Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs arriving on the BoardWalk
- The closure of Big River Grille & Brewing Works
- The closure of Jellyrolls
- Continued refurbishments at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Now, with a new lounge, an updated retail experience, and expanded entertainment, Disney is continuing to position the BoardWalk as one of the best places to spend an evening outside the parks.

One of the biggest advantages of Disney’s BoardWalk is that no theme park ticket is required to visit.
These newest additions make the area even more appealing for guests looking to extend the Disney magic after park hours. Disney says more details (including opening dates, menus, and additional information) will be shared in the coming months.

We’ll continue following every update as Disney reveals more about these exciting new experiences.
