A salute to all popcorn buckets…but mostly this one.

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World this summer and love Disney collectibles, there’s a brand-new popcorn bucket that’s practically waving the American flag. Just in time for the resort’s Disney Celebrates America festivities honoring the nation’s 250th anniversary, Disney has officially released the long-awaited Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket.

Featuring the famously patriotic Muppet in all his red, white, and blue glory, this collectible is expected to be one of the most popular souvenir releases of the season.

Beginning June 15, 2026, guests can purchase the new Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket at popcorn carts throughout Walt Disney World Resort, while supplies last.

The collectible is priced at $22 and includes popcorn at the time of purchase. Disney has also placed a limit of two buckets per person to help more guests get their hands on one.

A Perfect Tribute to America’s 250th Anniversary

The new popcorn bucket stars Sam Eagle, the patriotic Muppet best known for his love of American history and tradition.

The design features Sam wearing his signature stars-and-stripes top ha, standing behind a podium decorated with patriotic bunting, holding his left wing over his heart, and comes with an attached but removable shoulder strap featuring red, white, and blue stars and the Disney Parks wordmark.

The popcorn compartment opens from the back of the bucket, making it both functional and display-worthy.

The collectible is part of Disney’s larger Disney Celebrates America offerings, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States with themed food, merchandise, entertainment, and experiences across the resorts.

Where Can You Buy It?

Disney says the Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket is available at popcorn carts throughout Walt Disney World Resort, while supplies last.

We purchased ours from a Hub popcorn cart at Magic Kingdom for $22, but availability may vary by location as inventory changes throughout the day.

As with many collectible popcorn buckets, Disney may relocate inventory or temporarily sell out at individual carts, so it never hurts to ask a nearby Cast Member if you’re having trouble finding one.

Disneyland Guests Will Have to Wait a Little Longer

While Walt Disney World guests can start picking up the bucket now, Disneyland Resort fans will have to wait just a bit longer.

Disney has confirmed the Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket arrives at Disneyland Resort on June 30, 2026.

Disney popcorn buckets have become some of the most sought-after collectibles in the parks, and this release checks a lot of boxes.

It celebrates a major milestone in American history, features one of the Muppets’ most beloved characters, and arrives just ahead of the busy Fourth of July holiday season. For longtime Muppets fans, it’s also a relatively rare opportunity to see Sam Eagle take center stage in a Disney Parks collectible.
