Planning to celebrate Independence Day at Walt Disney World? You just got a lot more time in the parks.

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World during the busy Fourth of July holiday week, Disney has some good news. The resort has officially extended operating hours across all four theme parks, giving guests extra time to enjoy attractions, nighttime entertainment, and holiday festivities.

The biggest update? Magic Kingdom will now stay open until midnight on July 4, giving guests two additional hours in the park compared to its previously scheduled closing time.

Magic Kingdom Gets a Midnight Closing on July 4

The biggest adjustment comes at Magic Kingdom, where Disney has significantly extended hours for Independence Day.

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Magic Kingdom will now operate from:

9 AM to 12 AM (midnight)

That’s two hours later than the previously posted 10:00 p.m. closing time, giving guests additional time to experience attractions, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and watch Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, which traditionally lights up the skies over Cinderella Castle during the holiday.

More Time at Every Walt Disney World Theme Park

Magic Kingdom wasn’t the only park to receive updated hours.

Disney also extended operating hours at the other three Walt Disney World theme parks during the holiday week.

EPCOT

EPCOT’s operating day has been extended by one hour, giving guests additional evening time to explore World Showcase, experience attractions, and enjoy nighttime entertainment.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios also received an extra hour of operation, allowing guests more time for popular attractions like Rise of the Resistance, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Sunset Boulevard after dark.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Even Disney’s Animal Kingdom is seeing longer operating hours during the holiday period, giving guests additional time to experience Kilimanjaro Safaris, Pandora — The World of Avatar, Expedition Everest, and the park’s animal trails before closing.
