Booking a Disney Resort hotel isn’t just about staying close to the parks.

This summer, Disney Resort guests have access to several exclusive benefits that can add extra value to a Walt Disney World vacation. From free water park admission and special resort activities to extra park time and planning advantages, these perks can make a bigger difference than many guests realize.
If you’re visiting Walt Disney World this summer, here are five Disney hotel perks you’ll want to know about before you book.
Free Water Park Admission on Check-In Day
One of the biggest perks returning for Summer 2026 is complimentary water park admission on your arrival day.

Guests checking into an eligible Disney Resorts Collection hotel between May 26 and September 8, 2026, receive admission to Disney’s water park that’s operating that day at no additional cost. The benefit is available exclusively on check-in day and is valid for all registered guests listed on the reservation.

That means you can head straight to either Disney’s Blizzard Beach or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon (whichever is open) and start your vacation before ever stepping into a theme park.
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER Activities at Select Resorts
Disney’s Cool KIDS’ SUMMER celebration isn’t limited to the theme parks.

Through September 8, 2026, four Disney Resort hotels are offering special activities designed specifically for families:
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside

Guests can enjoy scheduled character appearances, pajama parties, pool parties, campfire activities, Disney-themed book collections, and complimentary baby essentials such as bottle warmers, infant bathtubs, diaper disposal systems, and night-lights.
Early Theme Park Entry Every Day
This is one of the most valuable Disney hotel perks available year-round.

Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels receive 30 minutes of Early Theme Park Entry every day at all four Walt Disney World theme parks. That extra half-hour can be the difference between walking onto a popular attraction and waiting in a lengthy standby line later in the day.
For guests visiting during the busy summer travel season, that head start can be incredibly valuable.
Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe Resort Guests
Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas receive an additional benefit after the parks close.

Extended Evening Hours allow eligible guests to remain in select theme parks after regular operating hours on designated nights, giving them access to select attractions, shops, and dining locations with significantly lower crowds.
Combined with Early Entry, it’s one of the strongest advantages of staying at a Deluxe Disney Resort.
Early Access to Lightning Lane Planning
Disney Resort hotel guests also receive a major planning advantage.

Guests staying at Disney-owned hotels can purchase and book Lightning Lane selections up to seven days before their stay, while most off-site guests can only book three days before their visit.
For highly sought-after attractions, that four-day head start can make a significant difference when securing return times.

While every vacation budget is different, these perks can add real value to a Walt Disney World trip — especially during the busy summer season when extra time and flexibility can make all the difference.
