Walt Disney World is adding even more fun to its Cool KIDS’ SUMMER celebration, and this time, the adventure is all about tracking down exclusive Disney PhotoPass locations across all four theme parks. If you’re already planning a summer Disney vacation, you may want to keep your camera ready because this limited-time photo challenge could send you from Main Street, U.S.A. all the way to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in search of the perfect shot.
Disney PhotoPass has officially launched the Cool Kids’ Summer Photo Challenge at Walt Disney World, encouraging guests to visit designated photo locations throughout Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests who complete the challenge can share their accomplishment by posting their photos on Instagram and tagging @DisneyPhotoPass.
The challenge is part of Walt Disney World’s Cool KIDS’ Summer celebration, which is running through September 8, 2026, and features special entertainment, character experiences, activities, and limited-time offerings throughout the resort.
Where to Find the Cool Kids’ Summer Photo Challenge Locations
To complete the challenge, guests will need to visit two Disney PhotoPass locations in each of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks. At every stop, PhotoPass photographers are offering exclusive themed photo collages tied to the Cool KIDS’ Summer event.
Magic Kingdom
Guests can find their Cool Kids’ Summer photo opportunities at:
- Tomorrowland near the entrance to TRON Lightcycle / Run
- Main Street, U.S.A. in the center of Town Square
These locations offer special collage-style PhotoPass images exclusive to the challenge.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
At Hollywood Studios, guests will need to stop by:
- Hollywood Boulevard in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge near the X-Wing by Resistance Supply
These locations combine some of the park’s most recognizable backdrops with exclusive Cool Kids’ Summer photo effects.
EPCOT
EPCOT’s challenge locations include:
- The Mexico Pavilion in World Showcase
- Near Spaceship Earth by the popcorn cart and Creations Shop
Both locations feature custom PhotoPass collage opportunities available as part of the summer promotion.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Guests visiting Animal Kingdom can find challenge locations at:
- Africa on the bridge from Discovery Island
- Asia near Yak & Yeti Restaurant
These locations continue the challenge with exclusive themed photo experiences unique to the park.
Disney PhotoPass already offers photographers at iconic locations throughout Walt Disney World, attraction photos, Magic Shots, and special vacation memories captured across the resort. This new challenge gives guests another reason to explore all four parks while collecting unique photo keepsakes along the way.
For families visiting during Cool KIDS’ Summer, it also creates a fun scavenger hunt-style activity that encourages guests to experience different areas of each park while building a collection of exclusive summer-themed photos.
