The Toy Story 5 premiere was already packed with stars, but Disney and Pixar had a few surprises waiting for fans.

The world premiere of Toy Story 5 took place in Hollywood on Tuesday night, bringing together the film’s cast, filmmakers, and some unexpected guests — including Taylor Swift and a brand-new version of Bullseye.

Between a surprise musical performance, a duet with legendary composer Randy Newman, and the debut of a new Bullseye meet-and-greet character, the premiere gave fans plenty to talk about ahead of the film’s June 19 theatrical release.

Following the screening, Taylor Swift surprised attendees by performing her original Toy Story 5 song, “I Knew It, I Knew You.”

The song, inspired by Jessie and written for the film, has already generated significant buzz among Disney and Pixar fans. Swift told attendees that being involved with the beloved franchise meant a great deal to her, having been a longtime fan of Toy Story.

But that wasn’t the only surprise.

Swift then welcomed legendary composer Randy Newman to the stage, and the pair performed a duet of the iconic Toy Story anthem, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.” Newman has composed music for every Toy Story film, including Toy Story 5.

A Childhood Dream Come True

The premiere also featured several memorable moments for Swift.

According to reports, she brought her original VHS copy of the 1995 Toy Story film and had it signed during the event. Swift and Joan Cusack, the longtime voice of Jessie, were also presented with Jessie dolls during the festivities.

The singer has spoken openly about her connection to Jessie, who served as inspiration for “I Knew It, I Knew You.”

Bullseye Debuts a Brand-New Look

While Taylor Swift may have stolen headlines, Disney and Pixar also unveiled a new version of Bullseye during the premiere after-party.

The updated meet-and-greet character appeared alongside Jessie and featured a noticeably different design from the version Disney Parks fans are familiar with. The new Bullseye stands on all fours, has a more screen-accurate corduroy texture rather than fur, and sports a red bandana around his neck.

The updated character closely resembles Bullseye’s appearance in the films and could potentially hint at future character updates tied to Toy Story 5. However, Disney has not announced whether this new version of Bullseye will eventually make appearances in Disney Parks.

Could Bullseye Be Coming to the Parks?

At this point, Disney has not confirmed any plans for the new Bullseye character beyond the premiere event.

However, the timing is certainly interesting.

Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie recently debuted updated looks inspired by Toy Story 5, leading some fans to wonder if Bullseye could eventually join them in the parks. For now, Disney is keeping quiet on whether the updated character will make the jump from Hollywood premiere to theme park meet-and-greets.
