Something BIG just happened at EPCOT, and it’s a sign that one of the park’s newest dining locations is almost ready to welcome guests.

After months of construction walls blocking the view, Disney has officially removed the walls surrounding La Poutinerie in EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion, giving guests their first unobstructed look at the new quick-service restaurant ahead of its upcoming opening.

The removal marks one of the biggest milestones yet for the project and suggests that Disney may be putting the finishing touches on the highly anticipated dining location.

Guests visiting EPCOT can now see the exterior of La Poutinerie in full for the first time since construction began on the former Refreshment Port location.

With the walls gone, the updated facade, new signage, and refreshed theming are now visible from the World Showcase promenade. The location features a distinctly Canadian-inspired design that blends into the surrounding Canada Pavilion while giving the popular snack location a fresh new identity.

For months, construction walls have hidden much of the progress taking place behind the scenes. Now, guests can finally get a better idea of what the completed project will look like once it officially opens.

While Disney has already announced that La Poutinerie will open on July 1, 2026, the removal of construction walls is often one of the final visible steps before a new Walt Disney World dining location begins welcoming guests.

The area surrounding the restaurant appears largely complete, with only minor finishing work potentially remaining before cast member previews and operational testing begin.

For EPCOT fans, this is perhaps the clearest indication yet that opening day is right around the corner.

La Poutinerie replaces Refreshment Port, which had long served as one of EPCOT’s most popular locations for specialty poutine offerings during festivals and throughout the year.

The reimagined location will continue celebrating Canada’s most famous comfort food while introducing a dedicated identity within World Showcase.

The new venue is also part of Disney’s ongoing investment in EPCOT, which has seen numerous updates, additions, and enhancements throughout the park in recent years.

Now that construction walls have disappeared, guests visiting EPCOT can finally see the nearly completed restaurant for themselves as anticipation builds toward opening day.
