Sofia the First has officially returned to Walt Disney World with a new character meet and greet now available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Disney Junior princess is now greeting guests on Commissary Lane in a newly themed character appearance area located next to the Mickey and Minnie meet and greet near Red Carpet Dreams.
Sofia appears wearing her signature lavender princess gown along with her tiara and amulet from the Disney Junior animated series. The new meet and greet backdrop features colorful pastel walls and themed décor designed to match the Disney Junior atmosphere of the area.
According to reports, Sofia is currently alternating appearances with Bitsy from SuperKitties, another recently added Disney Jr. character experience now available at the park.
Sofia the First was previously a regular character at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the height of the Disney Junior franchise’s popularity, making this latest return especially nostalgic for longtime fans.
The return also comes just days before the debut of the new Disney Jr. series Sofia the First: Royal Magic, which premieres May 25 on Disney Jr. and May 26 on Disney+.
