This New Universal Halloween Event Has Fans Curious

Wait…what is “Halloween Bash” at Universal…and why do I suddenly need to be there??

While scrolling the Universal Orlando app, a brand-new offering quietly popped up, and it’s giving very “why haven’t they talked about this more yet?” energy. Because if this turns out to be what it sounds like…CityWalk might just be the place to be before Horror Nights.

A new (and very intriguing) experience has appeared on the Universal Orlando calendar, and it’s already raising questions in the best way.

Starting Saturday, September 5, and continuing every Saturday through the end of Halloween Horror Nights, Universal is listing something called “Halloween Bash” happening at Universal CityWalk from 5 PM to 9 PM.

And that’s…basically all we know.

No official description (yet), no full announcement, no details on what the experience actually includes, but the timing alone is interesting. Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights from late August through early November, transforming Universal Studios Florida into one of the biggest Halloween events in the country.

So what does this mean?

If Universal is adding something in CityWalk during those early evening hours, it could be designed as a pre-HHN experience — something guests can enjoy before heading into the parks. And honestly, that would make a lot of sense.

CityWalk is already known for hosting seasonal events, live entertainment, and themed experiences throughout the year, especially tied to major celebrations.

Which means a Halloween-themed activation here could look like:

• Live DJs or themed music
• Pop-up bars or seasonal drinks
• Character moments or photo ops
• Mini entertainment or performances

Again — nothing confirmed. But the potential is there.

And the fact that it’s happening every Saturday? That feels intentional.

Even without full details, one thing is clear: Universal is expanding the Halloween experience beyond just the parks.

So…what do you think Halloween Bash is going to be? Because whatever it turns out to be, I already know I’m adding it to my HHN plans!
