Spooky season might feel far away, but Universal Orlando is already building the nightmare.

Halloween Horror Nights

In a brand-new casting call, Universal Orlando has officially opened submissions for dancers to perform in this year’s milestone event, Halloween Horror Nights 35, and this could be your chance to step into one of the most high-energy Halloween events in the world.

Universal is currently accepting submissions for dancers who specialize in hip hop and jazz styles, with performers set to appear in both stage shows and atmospheric entertainment throughout Halloween Horror Nights.

That means this isn’t just background work; selected performers could be part of live entertainment productions, street atmosphere performances, and high-energy dance-driven sequences woven into the event.

And if you’ve ever experienced Halloween Horror Nights, you know the vibe: bold, theatrical, and just a little bit chaotic in the best way.

If you’re thinking about auditioning, don’t wait. Submissions for dancer roles are due by 11:59 p.m. EST on April 30, 2026

That’s a tight turnaround (especially for an event of this scale), but it lines up with how early Universal begins casting for Halloween Horror Nights each year to allow time for rehearsals and full-scale production buildout.

Halloween Horror Nights isn’t your average performance gig. This event is known for its massive haunted houses, immersive scare zones, and large-scale live entertainment.

All of which require months of preparation, rehearsals, and coordination before opening night. Performers typically need to be comfortable working in dark or theatrical lighting, fog and special effects, and high-energy, high-crowd environments.

And while this casting call is specifically for dancers, Universal is also hiring a wide range of performers (from scareactors to specialty roles) to bring the full event to life.

Universal

Halloween Horror Nights is one of the largest and most popular Halloween events in the world, transforming Universal Studios Florida into a fully immersive horror experience on select nights from late August through early November.

And with 2026 marking the 35th anniversary, expectations are already sky-high — meaning performers selected this year could be part of one of the most memorable seasons yet.

To audition, performers will need to:

  • Submit materials through Universal Orlando’s official auditions portal
  • Highlight dance ability (especially hip hop and jazz styles)
  • Be available for the full event run and rehearsal period

Stay tuned for more updates on HHN 35 houses, scare zones, casting news, and event details as they’re announced.
