Six major airlines just announced a fresh batch of nonstop routes, and if you’re flying to Orlando for your next Disney or Universal trip, two of them are adding real options worth knowing about.

Airline route announcements can be a lot to sift through, so let’s start with the ones that actually matter if MCO is your destination.

Frontier Airlines is in the middle of rolling out 11 new nonstop routes. The airline’s biggest Orlando news is a brand-new international expansion: nonstop service from Orlando to three Colombian cities starting in December, with daily flights to Medellín beginning December 10, daily flights to Bogotá beginning December 14, and weekly service to Cartagena beginning December 19. Domestically, Frontier is also adding a Kansas City-to-Orlando route with four flights per week starting November 20, alongside other new routes elsewhere in the country, including Nashville to Tampa on October 9 and Denver to Fort Lauderdale and Detroit to Los Angeles on November 20.

Allegiant Air is adding 11 new routes of its own, and a good chunk of them touch Orlando-area airports directly. Two nonstop flights between Flint, Michigan and Orlando International Airport are already active, and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky joins Orlando International starting February 10, 2027. Several more new Allegiant routes connect into Orlando Sanford International Airport specifically, including service from Grand Forks, North Dakota (February 10 through April 17, 2027) and from Boston Logan (February 13 through April 24, 2027), which also gets new Allegiant routes to Punta Gorda and St. Pete-Clearwater in that same window. Rhode Island’s T.F. Green Airport adds new routes to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando Sanford, and Sarasota-Bradenton, all starting February 13, 2027.

The other four airlines making news are worth a quick mention too, even though their new routes skip Florida. United Airlines is launching its largest expansion in company history, adding nonstop service to 10 international cities as early as March 2027 using its new “Born to Explore” A321XLR aircraft, with new routes to Japan, France, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Luxembourg, and Italy. American Airlines is adding eight new international routes in 2027, including Chicago to Tokyo and Philadelphia to Vienna, the only nonstop Vienna service from a domestic airline. Southwest is adding four new routes out of Las Vegas starting in March 2027, and Delta is launching new international service, including Atlanta to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia starting October 23, plus new Las Vegas routes to Hong Kong and Taipei in early 2027.
