Disney Cruise Line is officially heading back to the Big Apple!

Disney Cruise Line has revealed that New York City will once again become a home port in fall 2027, bringing Disney cruises back to the city with an exciting first: the Disney Wish will sail from New York.
The Disney Wish is scheduled to begin its New York City sailings on September 29, 2027, with a lineup of fall voyages ranging from four to seven nights.
This will give Northeast Disney fans a chance to experience one of Disney Cruise Line’s newer ships without first traveling to Florida.

The Disney Wish debuted in 2022 and features experiences including AquaMouse, Frozen– and Marvel-inspired rotational dining, The Little Mermaid on stage, the Star Wars-themed Hyperspace Lounge and plenty more throughout the ship.
And the destinations from New York are getting a nice mix of tropical escapes and classic fall cruising.
The newly announced four- to seven-night itineraries will take guests from New York City to destinations including Bermuda, Canada, and New England.
Disney will also offer a special one-way sailing from New York City to San Juan, Puerto Rico, giving guests another option beyond the traditional round-trip New York itineraries.
Disney Cruise Line’s official New York destination page confirms Bermuda and Canada among the destinations offered from the city.

There could be another reason to keep an eye on those late-September and October dates.
Disney Cruise Line traditionally offers its Halloween on the High Seas celebration on most itineraries departing from late September through Halloween. The seasonal sailings include Halloween décor, themed entertainment, trick-or-treating, special character appearances and the Enchanted Pumpkin Tree.
Disney hasn’t yet detailed which of these newly announced New York sailings will receive the Halloween treatment, so we’ll be watching for the complete itinerary and themed-cruise calendar.

New York won’t even be the Disney Wish’s only major new destination in 2027.
Disney has already announced that the ship will make its European debut in summer 2027, with sailings from Southampton, Barcelona and Civitavecchia. Those itineraries will visit destinations across the Norwegian Fjords, Northern Europe, Spain, the British Isles, Mediterranean, Italy, Croatia and Greek Isles.
That makes 2027 quite the travel year for a ship that Disney fans have primarily associated with short Bahamian vacations from Port Canaveral. And now, come fall, New Yorkers will get their turn.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on Disney Cruise Line as additional fall 2027 itineraries, sailing dates, ports and booking information are released, so keep checking back with Theme Park Scope for the latest Disney Cruise Line news and updates!
