The DJ might be undead, but trust us, the party is very much alive!

Club Horror is one of two returning street experiences confirmed for Halloween Horror Nights 35, and if you caught it last year, you already know it’s less about jump scares and more about dancing your way through the scare zones. Here’s everything we know about it heading into this year’s event.

Club Horror takes over the San Francisco section of Universal Studios Florida, an area located near the middle of the park themed after the real city. Halloween Horror Nights 35 runs select nights from August 28 through November 1, 2026.

Club Horror isn’t new for 2026…it actually debuted last year at Halloween Horror Nights 34, first announced on July 17, 2025, as one of two brand-new street experiences that year. Its return for HHN 35 was confirmed on July 21, 2026, alongside fellow street experience Mel’s Die-In: Zombies.

What’s a “Street Experience,” Exactly?

If Club Horror doesn’t quite fit your mental picture of a scarezone or a haunted house, that’s because it’s technically neither. Street experiences are a mid-level layer of HHN programming, staged along the walkways of the New York, San Francisco, and Hollywood Boulevard sections of the park. They’re not full scarezones and not full houses — instead, they’re atmospheric, roving takeovers built around theming, live performers, DJs, and food-and-drink tie-ins where relevant. Club Horror leans all the way into the “party” side of that formula.

The Official Premise

Universal describes the scene simply: the streets of San Francisco have been transformed into Club Horror, where the DJ might be undead, but the vibe is very much alive. The official tagline attached to this year’s return of both street experiences is “Shake, Rattle and R.I.P.”

What to Expect

Club Horror is built around a genuine party atmosphere rather than a scare-first experience. Guests can expect a live DJ, dancers, and loud, heart-pumping music filling the San Francisco streets, plus opportunities to snap photos with original characters roaming the area.

Universal’s own marketing for the experience leans into the idea of partying like your life depends on it — which, given the HHN setting, might not be too far from the truth.

Any Changes for HHN 35?

As of the most recent updates, the graphics and details being used to promote Club Horror’s return appear to be consistent with what guests saw at HHN 34, suggesting the core concept is staying largely the same for its second year. On the ground, construction updates have shown Club Horror-branded wraps being added to the DJ stage and performer platforms in the San Francisco area as the park prepares for opening night.

Some fans have floated the idea that Club Horror could evolve this year to tie into the broader Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow carnival storyline running through the rest of HHN 35’s Infernal Carnival of Nightmares theme, but that connection has not been confirmed by Universal.

Like the rest of HHN’s street experiences and scarezones, Club Horror is included with any Halloween Horror Nights 35 event admission…there’s no separate ticket required to experience it.
