Vintage Disney tee lovers, this one’s for you!

Disney just unveiled a brand-new ongoing collaboration called Disney | Bobby Kim, and it’s bringing some genuinely gorgeous throwback designs to your wardrobe.

The collection debuted at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event during the Disney Style Around the World panel, giving attendees first access before the rest of us get our shot. The whole line is built around celebrating the legacy of the classic Disney t-shirt itself, led by Bobby Kim, VP and Global Creative Director, who’s treating these pieces less like merch and more like wearable keepsakes meant to connect generations of fans.

The very first release is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse long sleeve tee, and it comes with a genuinely sweet origin story: Kim first spotted the vintage shirt that inspired it in a shop window in Harajuku, Japan, and only later learned just how rare and sought-after that original design had become. The finished tee features a full cast of Fantasia characters surrounding the iconic Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey, done in an all-cotton, elevated-yet-easy-to-wear style. It made its debut for purchase at D23 on August 15th, and became available for one day only on DisneyStore.com on August 17th at 8 AM PST, limited to one item per attendee while supplies lasted.

But that’s really just the opening act. The full Disney | Bobby Kim Collection 1: Classics rolls out with six total t-shirt styles, and it heads online to DisneyStore.com starting August 20th at 9 PM PST, running through Sunday, August 23rd, while supplies last.

Here’s the lineup joining the Sorcerer’s Apprentice design in Collection 1: an Oliver & Company tee inspired by the first Disney animated film Kim ever saw in theaters, done in a bold, retro-graphic white style; a Little Mermaid tee in navy that leans into the colorful 80s-era Disney tee aesthetic, celebrating Ariel’s curiosity and independence; a Lady and the Tramp design in ivory honoring one of Disney’s most iconic love stories (yes, the spaghetti scene is basically implied); a villain-forward Lion King tee in black spotlighting Scar, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed instead of Simba, for anyone who’s always rooted for the scene-stealers; and a classic white Mickey Mouse tee celebrating Disney’s most recognizable icon in its simplest form.

Disney’s already teasing more themes and launches to come under this collaboration, so Collection 1 is shaping up to be just the beginning. If vintage-inspired Disney fashion is your thing, this is a line worth keeping an eye on going forward.
