September is shaping up to be a big transition month at Disney World, with a handful of seasonal experiences wrapping up right as some brand-new ones swing open the doors.

Here’s everything changing!
Cool Kids’ Summer is coming to an end. The seasonal celebration that’s been running throughout the warmer months officially wraps up in September, so if you’ve had any of its family activities on your list, this is your last real window to squeeze them in before it disappears until next year.

Coral Reef Restaurant is closing for refurbishment. EPCOT’s aquarium-adjacent dining spot is heading offline for updates, so if a meal with the fish has been on your radar, plan around this one — it won’t be an option again until Disney wraps up the work and reopens the doors.
H2O Glow Nights at Typhoon Lagoon is also ending. This after-hours water park event has had a nice run this season, but September marks the close of it, so night swims under the glow lights are on limited time.

And EPCOT’s getting a brand-new limited-time exhibit: Cheers to Cheese. Running from September 18th through November 8th at CommuniCore Hall, this interactive experience dives into the history of cheese, packed with fun facts along the way. A whole exhibit dedicated to cheese history is exactly the kind of delightfully random Disney programming I did not know I needed, and yet, here we are.
The Magic of Disney Animation is finally reopening. This one’s arguably the biggest win on the list…after a long wait, this beloved Hollywood Studios experience is set to open its doors again in September, giving fans back one of the more nostalgic corners of the park.

Between two seasonal events wrapping up, a beloved refurbishment finally reopening, and a genuinely unexpected new exhibit rolling in, September’s bringing a little bit of everything to Disney World this year.
Which of these September changes are you most excited (or bummed) about? Let me know!
