Florida weather can be unpredictable, but a rainy forecast doesn’t necessarily mean Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is canceled.
With the 2026 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party season beginning at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World has published updated weather information explaining what guests should expect if rain, thunderstorms, or other inclement weather impact their party night.
And if you’re attending one of this year’s events, there’s one important thing to know before heading to Magic Kingdom: the party is expected to continue during most inclement weather.
According to Disney’s updated policy, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will continue during most inclement weather conditions.
That means rain alone should not be expected to cancel the separately ticketed event.
However, weather conditions can still impact individual attractions, experiences, showtimes, and entertainment throughout the evening.
Disney specifically warns that outdoor entertainment may be affected by inclement weather, meaning some of the party’s biggest offerings could potentially be modified, delayed, or canceled depending on conditions.
That could include outdoor entertainment such as Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, and other outdoor performances.
Weather may also affect attraction operations during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Certain outdoor attractions may temporarily stop operating when weather conditions make it unsafe to continue, particularly when lightning or severe storms are in the area.
Disney recommends that guests affected by inclement weather consider enjoying indoor experiences while waiting for conditions to improve, including indoor attractions, shopping, or dining.
Trick-or-Treat Trails Will Remain Open
There’s some good news if your party night turns into a rainy one.
Disney says trick-or-treat trails will remain available during inclement weather, giving guests an activity they can continue enjoying even when outdoor entertainment or attractions are temporarily affected.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party features more than a dozen trick-or-treat opportunities throughout Magic Kingdom, with candy distributed to guests at designated locations around the park.
What About Refunds?
This is an important distinction for anyone purchasing a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket.
The event continuing during inclement weather does not guarantee that every advertised attraction, show, or entertainment offering will take place.
Disney’s event terms allow entertainment and other offerings to be changed or canceled due to weather, and refunds are not guaranteed simply because an individual entertainment offering is unable to take place.
Disney has canceled entire Halloween parties in the past when severe weather, including hurricanes, threatened Walt Disney World. Those situations are different from a typical rainy or stormy evening, however, and guests should follow Disney’s official operational updates if significant weather threatens their party date.
What Guests Should Know Before Their Party
The biggest takeaway from Disney’s updated policy is simple: if rain is in the forecast, don’t assume your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been canceled.
