If you happened to be visiting Magic Kingdom for 626 Day (Stitch Day), you may have spotted an extra-special guest rolling down Main Street, U.S.A.
To celebrate everyone’s favorite mischievous Experiment 626, Angel made a surprise appearance alongside Stitch during the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, giving Disney fans an unexpected treat as the cavalcade made its way through the park.
Perched together atop one of the colorful floats, Stitch and Angel greeted guests, danced to the cavalcade music, and waved to cheering crowds celebrating the fan-favorite holiday. While Stitch is a regular part of the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, Angel’s appearance was a special addition just for June 26 (6/26), a date Disney fans have long celebrated as “626 Day.”
The surprise appearance was met with plenty of excitement from guests lining Main Street, many stopping to snap photos and videos as the beloved pair passed in front of Cinderella Castle.
Angel rode atop the float featuring The Incredibles, while Woody, Jessie, Mickey Mouse, and several other Disney favorites continued to make appearances throughout the cavalcade, making the already popular daytime entertainment even more special for the holiday.
Disney has not announced whether Angel’s appearance will return outside of 626 Day, making this a fun, limited-time surprise for guests who happen to be in the park.
If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom in the coming days, don’t expect to see Angel in the cavalcade, but if Disney has taught us anything, it’s to always keep an eye out for surprise character appearances. You never know who might pop up next!
