One of Disney Springs’ most anticipated new experiences is finally opening its doors, but not quite for everyone just yet.

Level99

After months of construction and anticipation, Level99 has officially reached a major milestone ahead of its grand opening at Disney Springs. While guests will have to wait just a little longer to step inside, Disney Cast Members recently got an exclusive first look during a special soft opening event. Here’s everything we know about the interactive gaming venue, what guests can expect, and when you’ll finally be able to experience it for yourself.

The highly anticipated interactive entertainment venue held a Cast Member-exclusive soft opening on Tuesday, June 23, giving Disney employees an early preview before welcoming the public later this month. The soft opening marks one of the final milestones before the attraction officially debuts at Disney Springs.

Private Event signs

Guests visiting Disney Springs during the preview may have noticed a sign outside the venue stating it was closed for a private event, along with a QR code directing guests to purchase tickets. Disney Cast Members were stationed outside the entrance to help facilitate check-in for those attending the exclusive preview event.

A First Look Inside Level99

Although the venue wasn’t open to the public, the doors remained open long enough to offer a glimpse inside the massive new entertainment destination.

Just beyond the entrance, guests could spot a digital display introducing Level99’s RFID-powered “Veloband.” Every player receives a Veloband upon arrival, which is used to activate games, track progress, and unlock experiences throughout the venue.

Doors

One of the first challenge rooms visible from the entrance featured a game with giant swinging axes, offering a taste of the fast-paced, physical challenges that have made Level99 popular at its other locations.

Unlike traditional escape rooms, Level99 features dozens of quick challenge rooms designed to be completed in approximately one to four minutes, with most experiences built for teams of two to six players. This allows guests to continuously move through the venue while competing for points and achievements.

Taking Over the Former NBA Experience

Level99 is located on the West Side of Disney Springs, replacing the former NBA Experience, which permanently closed after a brief operating run.

Level99

When it officially opens, the Disney Springs location will become the largest Level99 venue to date, giving Walt Disney World visitors an entirely new way to spend an afternoon or evening outside the theme parks. In addition to its collection of interactive challenge rooms, the venue will feature a full-service bar serving beverages alongside a selection of snacks and shareable food items.

Official Opening Date

The wait won’t be much longer.

Level99 officially opens to the public on June 29, 2026, adding another unique entertainment option to the growing lineup at Disney Springs.
