Your Disney Springs chocolate fix isn’t going anywhere — it’s just moving temporarily.

Guests visiting Disney Springs may soon notice a major change for one of the shopping and dining district’s most popular sweet spots.
New signage has been installed at the future temporary home of Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, signaling that preparations are continuing as the iconic location undergoes an extensive refurbishment. The temporary location is being constructed in Disney Springs Town Center and will allow Ghirardelli to continue serving guests while work takes place at its permanent location.

Recent photos show Ghirardelli-branded signage now in place at the future temporary storefront, providing the clearest indication yet that the relocation is moving closer to opening. The temporary venue is located in Disney Springs Town Center and is expected to operate while renovations continue at the existing Ghirardelli location in The Landing.
While Disney has not announced an official opening date for the temporary space, the addition of exterior signage is typically one of the final visible milestones before a retail location welcomes guests.

The temporary move comes as Ghirardelli prepares for a significant refurbishment of its longtime Disney Springs home.
For years, the location has been a must-visit stop for Disney Springs guests looking for handcrafted sundaes, milkshakes, chocolate treats, and the famous complimentary chocolate square often handed out at the entrance. The store has become one of the most recognizable destinations at Disney Springs and remains a favorite stop for both locals and vacationers.

Rather than closing entirely during construction, the temporary Town Center location will allow Ghirardelli to continue operating and serving guests throughout the renovation project.
Although Disney and Ghirardelli have not released a complete list of offerings for the temporary location, guests can likely expect many of the chocolate company’s most popular items to remain available during the transition.

The temporary storefront is expected to provide a way for guests to continue purchasing Ghirardelli chocolates and specialty treats while work progresses on the permanent location. Additional details about menu offerings and opening timelines have not yet been announced.
We’ll continue monitoring for an official opening date, details about the refurbishment, and what guests can expect when the temporary location begins serving chocolate lovers.
