If you were planning to celebrate the Fourth of July at Magic Kingdom, you may have waited a little too long.

One of the busiest days of the year at Walt Disney World is already filling up. Magic Kingdom park reservations for Annual Passholders have officially reached capacity for July 4, 2026, meaning Passholders can no longer reserve the park for Independence Day unless availability returns.
With patriotic entertainment, special fireworks, and holiday crowds drawing thousands of guests each year, it’s no surprise that Magic Kingdom is the first park to fill for one of Walt Disney World’s most popular summer holidays.
As of now, Magic Kingdom is unavailable for new Annual Passholder reservations on July 4 through Disney’s park reservation system. Other ticket types, including date-based tickets and Disney Resort hotel guests with valid admission, operate under different admission rules and may still have availability depending on their ticket type.

It’s also worth remembering that reservation availability can change. Guests sometimes modify or cancel plans, meaning additional reservation slots could reopen before the holiday.
Expect Big Crowds Throughout the Holiday Weekend
The Fourth of July is consistently one of the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World, with many guests flocking to Magic Kingdom to experience the park’s annual “Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” fireworks spectacular.

In addition to the nighttime entertainment, guests can typically expect longer attraction wait times, crowded walkways, and heavy demand for dining reservations throughout the holiday weekend.

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World around Independence Day, arriving early, utilizing Lightning Lane selections where available, and planning for afternoon breaks can help make the day more enjoyable.
Still Planning Your Fourth of July Visit?
If you’re an Annual Passholder who missed out on a Magic Kingdom reservation, don’t give up just yet. Reservation availability can fluctuate, so it’s worth checking the reservation calendar regularly for cancellations. You can also consider celebrating at EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom if availability remains open.

With July 4 less than two weeks away, it’s another reminder that some of Walt Disney World’s most popular dates can reach capacity well in advance.
