Disney

runDisney recently shared a new social media video featuring a collection of retro-themed motivational tips inspired by the 2026 runDisney Virtual Series. The video embraces the series’ nostalgic theme with a presentation styled after classic television programming and Disney VHS-era visuals.

The tips are based on this year’s retro Disney movie themes, which include:

  • Hercules (1997)
  • Pocahontas (1995)
  • The Emperor’s New Groove (2000)
  • A Goofy Movie (1995)

These films serve as the inspiration for the three virtual 5K races and the overall challenge event featured in this year’s series.

In the video, runDisney shares several motivational messages designed to encourage participants throughout the summer Virtual Series.

The featured tips include:

Follow Your Path

Inspired by Pocahontas, this reminder encourages runners to stay focused on their own journey and trust the path they’re taking, whether they’re walking, jogging, or running toward their goals.

Stride With Ease

Drawing inspiration from The Emperor’s New Groove, this tip reminds participants that every mile doesn’t have to be a struggle. Finding a comfortable pace can make training more enjoyable and sustainable throughout the summer.

Go the Distance

Perhaps the most fitting tip for runners, this motivational message comes from Hercules and references one of the film’s most iconic songs. It’s a reminder to stay committed to your goals and keep moving forward.

Keep It Extremely Fun

Channeling the spirit of A Goofy Movie, runDisney encourages participants to remember that running should be enjoyable. Costumes, themed playlists, character-inspired outfits, and virtual race celebrations are all part of the experience.

Find Your Finish Line

The final tip reminds runners that success looks different for everyone. Whether you’re completing one virtual 5K or tackling the full challenge, the important thing is reaching your own personal goal.
