A new aerial photo shared by bioreconstruct on X on June 6 is giving Universal Orlando fans their latest look at the future home of Luke Combs’ Category 10, the massive country music-inspired entertainment venue announced earlier this year for Universal CityWalk.

The image shows the area where construction is expected to begin soon as Universal Orlando prepares for one of the largest entertainment additions to CityWalk in recent years. While vertical construction has not yet started, the site appears to be nearing the point where guests could begin seeing noticeable activity in the coming weeks.

What Is Category 10?

The project was officially announced in February through a partnership between country music superstar Luke Combs and Opry Entertainment Group.

Universal

Named after Combs’ multi-platinum hit song “Hurricane,” Category 10 will bring a large-scale live music, dining, and entertainment experience to the heart of Universal CityWalk. The venue is currently targeting a late 2027 opening.

According to details released by Opry Entertainment Group, the Orlando location will span approximately 33,000 square feet across three stories, making it one of the largest entertainment venues at CityWalk. Construction is expected to begin during summer 2026, which aligns with the timing of the newly shared aerial images.

What Guests Can Expect

While many details are still under wraps, Category 10 is expected to offer a blend of:

  • Live music performances
  • Multiple entertainment spaces
  • Food and beverage offerings
  • Sports viewing experiences
  • Rooftop gathering areas
  • Interactive fan experiences

The concept is designed to reflect Luke Combs’ personality, music, and Carolina roots while creating an immersive destination for both country music fans and casual visitors alike.

Renderings released earlier this year show a vibrant entertainment complex featuring multiple themed venues under one roof, including performance spaces, bars, restaurants, and rooftop experiences.

Another Major Investment in CityWalk

The addition of Category 10 continues Universal Orlando’s ongoing investment in CityWalk as the resort expands alongside Epic Universe.

As Universal transforms into a four-theme-park destination, CityWalk continues evolving into a more robust entertainment district with expanded dining, nightlife, and live entertainment options for guests staying on property or visiting after a day in the parks.

Universal

The venue will join other popular CityWalk offerings while bringing a country music presence unlike anything currently available at Universal Orlando.

We’ll continue tracking construction progress and permit activity as work begins on one of the most anticipated additions to Universal CityWalk. Be sure to keep checking Theme Park Scope for the latest Universal Orlando construction updates, CityWalk news, and Epic Universe coverage.
