That specialty cocktail you’ve ordered at dinner for years may no longer have its own menu.

Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line has reportedly removed the dedicated specialty cocktail menus that were previously available in its rotational dining restaurants, a change that many longtime cruisers are already beginning to notice onboard. The update appears to impact the main dining rooms across Disney Cruise Line’s fleet and comes as Disney continues rolling out broader menu updates throughout several ships.

For years, guests dining in restaurants such as Animator’s Palate, Enchanted Garden, Royal Court, Royal Palace, Lumiere’s, Triton’s, and other rotational dining venues were presented with specialty cocktail menus featuring themed drinks created specifically for each restaurant experience.

According to WDWNT, those standalone cocktail menus have now been removed, leaving guests with beer, wine, and cocktail options that are ordered directly through servers rather than from restaurant-specific beverage menus.

The change follows several other dining updates Disney Cruise Line has implemented over the past year. Most recently, Disney Cruise Line debuted updated rotational dining menus aboard the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy as part of an effort to align offerings more closely with the newer Wish-class ships.

While the specialty cocktail menus may be gone, alcoholic beverages remain available throughout Disney Cruise Line’s restaurants, lounges, bars, and adult-exclusive venues. Disney Cruise Line continues to offer an extensive beverage program featuring signature cocktails, wines, beers, mocktails, and premium spirits across the fleet.

For many repeat cruisers, however, the restaurant-specific cocktails were part of the fun. Certain dining rooms became known for their unique themed beverages, helping create a different experience each night as guests rotated through the ship’s restaurants.

The move has sparked discussion among Disney Cruise Line fans, particularly those who enjoyed collecting photos of the various themed cocktail menus throughout their sailings. While Disney has not publicly announced a reason for the change, it appears to be part of the company’s ongoing effort to streamline menus and create more consistency across the fleet.

Fortunately, guests looking for unique drinks still have plenty of options onboard. Disney Cruise Line’s themed lounges remain some of the most immersive at sea, with venues like the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure, The Rose aboard the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and numerous themed bars throughout the fleet continuing to offer signature beverages.

For now, cruisers sailing in the coming weeks may want to ask their dining team about available cocktail offerings, as favorite drinks may still be available even if the dedicated specialty menu has disappeared.
