The visit comes as the nation gears up for the America250 celebration in 2026, commemorating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

The National Archives Foundation shared about the visit on social media, showing Mickey Mouse exploring the National Archives Museum and celebrating the country’s milestone anniversary alongside the historic document.

The National Archives Museum serves as the permanent home of America’s founding documents, including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Each year, millions of visitors travel to Washington, D.C., to view these historic artifacts and learn more about the nation’s history.

Disney has a long history of celebrating American heritage through its parks, attractions, entertainment offerings, and patriotic experiences. From Main Street, U.S.A. and The Hall of Presidents at Walt Disney World to special Fourth of July celebrations at Disney Parks, American history has long played a role in Disney storytelling.
