The herd is officially back.
Walt Disney Studios has unveiled the first teaser trailer for 20th Century Animation’s Ice Age: Boiling Point, giving fans their first glimpse at the next adventure featuring some of animation’s most beloved prehistoric characters.
While the teaser keeps many details under wraps, it confirms that the Ice Age franchise is heading back to theaters for another big-screen outing.
The new film is titled Ice Age: Boiling Point and is currently scheduled to arrive exclusively in theaters on February 5, 2027.
The Ice Age franchise first debuted in 2002 and quickly became one of the most successful animated film series of all time. Over the years, audiences have followed the adventures of Manny the mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber-toothed tiger, and the rest of the herd through a series of globe-trotting, prehistoric adventures.
Now, after years away from theaters, the franchise is preparing for its next chapter.
Disney has not yet released an official synopsis for the film, but the newly released teaser serves as the first official look at what’s ahead for the beloved series.
With a theatrical release date locked in and the first footage now available, fans can likely expect more details, trailers, and casting announcements in the months ahead.
For longtime Ice Age fans, one thing is already clear: the herd is back.
