Planning a Walt Disney World vacation could soon require a lot less clicking.

Disney has announced a major overhaul of the vacation planning experience on DisneyWorld.com, introducing several new tools designed to help guests compare hotels, search for the best dates to visit, and find available discounts faster than ever before.
The new planning experience centers around four major upgrades that Disney says will help guests spend less time searching and more time booking their vacations.
During a recent media presentation, Walt Disney World previewed a new planning experience that will eventually roll out on DisneyWorld.com.

According to Disney, the goal is to reduce the number of times guests need to visit the website before they feel confident enough to book a vacation. While the company only shared proof-of-concept mockups and did not release any images of the new tools, Disney outlined four major improvements coming to the website experience.
The new features include:
- Flexible date-range search
- Side-by-side Disney Resort hotel comparisons
- AI-generated resort summaries
- A pricing and availability calendar
Together, the tools are intended to streamline the vacation planning process and make it easier for guests to find the right hotel and travel dates for their budget.
Flexible Date Search Will Help Guests Find the Best Deals
One of the most significant updates is a new flexible date-range search feature.
Currently, guests must enter specific check-in and check-out dates before viewing resort availability and pricing. Under the new system, guests will be able to search across a broader range of dates instead of locking themselves into exact travel days.

Disney used the example of families planning a summer vacation. Rather than checking multiple date combinations individually, guests will be able to search an entire date range and quickly identify the lowest available prices and eligible special offers.
The change could make it much easier for guests to find cheaper travel periods without repeatedly adjusting search parameters.
Comparing Disney Resorts Side by Side
Another new tool will allow guests to compare Disney Resort hotels side by side.
Choosing between resorts can be one of the most time-consuming parts of planning a Walt Disney World vacation, especially when comparing room types, amenities, transportation options, dining locations, and pricing.

The upcoming comparison tool will place resort information next to each other, making it easier to evaluate different options without opening multiple tabs or navigating between pages.
For guests debating between resorts like Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, or Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, the feature could simplify the decision-making process considerably.
Disney Is Adding AI-Generated Resort Summaries
Disney also revealed plans to introduce AI-generated resort summaries.
The summaries are designed to provide guests with quick, easy-to-understand descriptions of each resort and what makes it unique.

Rather than reading through lengthy resort descriptions, guests will receive concise overviews highlighting key features, themes, amenities, and benefits. Disney says the feature is intended to help travelers quickly determine whether a resort matches their vacation style before diving deeper into the details.
The addition marks another example of Disney incorporating artificial intelligence into the guest planning experience.
Pricing and Availability Calendar Coming to DisneyWorld.com
The fourth major improvement is a pricing and availability calendar.
This tool will allow guests to view room availability and pricing across a broader timeline, making it easier to identify lower-cost travel periods and compare vacation dates at a glance.

Instead of repeatedly adjusting search dates and refreshing results, guests will be able to see pricing trends in a calendar format and quickly locate the best values. Disney says the calendar will also help highlight promotional offers and discount availability.
For travelers with flexible schedules, this could become one of the most useful planning tools Disney has introduced in years.
When Will These Changes Launch?
Disney has not announced an official rollout date for the new website planning experience.
The company says the tools are still in development, and only concept versions were shown during the media presentation. Additional details, screenshots, and launch timing are expected to be shared closer to release.
While guests will need to wait a bit longer before trying the new features, the changes signal Disney’s continued effort to simplify what has become an increasingly complex vacation planning process.

For families comparing hotels, searching for discounts, or trying to find the most affordable travel dates, these new tools could make planning a Walt Disney World vacation significantly easier.
