Disney may be planning a much larger refresh for Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress than fans originally expected.
While Disney previously announced a new Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic for the attraction, new rumors suggest the update could include refreshed scenes, upgraded animatronics, new dialogue, and modern technology throughout the classic attraction.
According to reports, Disney Imagineering may also update members of the iconic family featured in the attraction while keeping the original heart and message of the show intact.
The attraction first debuted at the 1964 New York World’s Fair and remains one of the few Disney attractions personally connected to Walt Disney.
No official reopening timeline or full details have been announced yet.
