Construction is continuing to move quickly on Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios Florida…

…and guests can now spot a major new addition rising from the former Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit site.
New dark blue coaster supports have now been installed near the front of the construction site, marking one of the most visible track milestones yet for the upcoming high-speed attraction.

The newly added steel pieces appear to form part of an upcoming curved section of the coaster layout as construction continues to expand across the former Rip Ride Rockit footprint.
In the photos, several newly secured angled support columns can be seen in place while cranes and construction vehicles continue active work around the site. Additional supports are also staged nearby waiting for installation as Universal steadily pushes the project upward. The newest additions are easily visible from CityWalk and the surrounding resort area.
Additionally, a new section of the ride’s track is also installed, making it one of the visually outstanding additions to come to the ride thus far.

Previously, we’ve seen the first of the track installed further into the ride’s opposite side near where the ride vehicle storage will be, further outlining just how massive this ride will be once it’s completed.
The construction site has changed dramatically over the last several weeks. Earlier updates primarily showed foundational work and scattered support pieces, but the attraction is now clearly beginning to take shape vertically.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift was officially announced earlier this year as Universal Studios Florida’s next major roller coaster experience, replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

The attraction is expected to feature rotating ride vehicles, high-speed launches, and drifting-style maneuvers inspired by the Fast & Furious franchise.
The new coaster is currently scheduled to open in 2027.
